Sled Island Festival is an annual independent multi-venue music and arts festival in Calgary, Alberta that attracts over 20,500 attendees each year. Entering its fourth year in 2010, it aims to celebrate, showcase and nurture the best emerging and established local talent alongside national and international independent music, comedy, film and art.
FESTIVAL OF FESTIVALS
Sled Island Film is proud to introduce this year’s inaugural Festival of Festivals.
In 2010, Sled Island Film will be taking place from June 24 – 29, 2010, featuring signature showcases by Calgary and Alberta film festivals and film presentation societies. Sled Island film will also be incorporating a large local Symposium portion to the Festival in direct partnership with the Alberta Media Arts Alliance Society including workshops and panel discussions on media arts. Currently, the following parties are in partnership with Sled Island Film – Festival of Festivals 2010, and are presenting a signature showcase screening:

Sled Island Film supports the presentation of film in Calgary and Alberta by providing a new forum for not only film as a medium and art, but for the numerous festivals and presentation societies of one of the most diverse and unique communities to be found. Festival of Festivals conducts professional signatory showcases by Calgary and Alberta film festival and presentation societies displaying the strength, integrity, and vitality of each separately and as a whole. While celebrating our differences we are building our connectivity in continuing to support the medium we believe in and dedicate ourselves to.
